About this Event
Ready to take your wheel skills to the next level?
Production Pottery with Art is a 3-day intermediate workshop designed for potters who already feel comfortable on the wheel and want to learn how to work with more rhythm, consistency, and efficiency.
Art has years of experience producing pottery in series, and in this workshop he’ll share the techniques he uses to create multiple pieces with a consistent shape and style, without sacrificing the handmade quality of the work.
The goal? Learn how to make 6–8 mugs in just two hours.
Over three sessions, you’ll take your mugs from clay to finished pieces:
DAY 1 • THROWING
Learn Art’s approach to throwing a series of 6–8 mugs in two hours, focusing on consistency, timing, and an efficient throwing rhythm.
DAY 2 • TRIMMING + HANDLES
Trim your mugs and learn practical techniques for creating and attaching handles efficiently while keeping your pieces consistent.
DAY 3 • GLAZING
Finish your series with glazing techniques and an organized approach to glazing multiple pieces.
This workshop is a great opportunity to move beyond making one piece at a time and start developing a workflow that feels faster, more confident, and more intentional.
