Want to make your own film? The hard part usually isn’t coming up with the idea. It’s finding the money, bringing together people you trust, preparing well, staying cool when the shoot goes sideways, and then actually finishing the thing.
In this practical workshop for SAG-AFTRA members, filmmaker and Dust Wave co-founder, Alonso Indacochea, shares what he has learned producing films with limited resources and resourceful crews. We’ll talk about fundraising, pre-production, running a respectful set, working through post, and getting the finished film in front of an audience. The workshop is for performers who are ready to create their own opportunities instead of waiting for the industry to find them.
About Alonso
Alonso Indacochea is an Albuquerque filmmaker, producer, and co-founder of Dust Wave. He didn’t go to film school but instead is self-taught through raising money, building crews, solving production problems, getting through post, organizing screenings, and doing all the other jobs that stand between an idea and a finished film.
