Private Darkroom Printing Workshop (1–2 People)
Learn the craft of making black-and-white silver gelatin prints in a personalized, hands-on session. This private workshop is designed for one or two participants and is tailored to your experience level, whether you're stepping into a darkroom for the first time or looking to refine your printing skills.
You'll learn how to:
- Set up and use an enlarger
- Make test strips and determine the correct exposure
- Control contrast with multigrade filters
- Dodge and burn for tonal control
- Develop, stop, fix, wash, and dry archival fiber- or resin-coated prints
- Evaluate and improve your prints through an iterative printing process
Bring your own black-and-white negatives, or use negatives provided by the studio.
All chemistry and basic darkroom equipment are included. Participants should bring their own photographic paper, which can also be purchased at the studio if needed.
By the end of the workshop, you'll leave with finished prints and the confidence to continue printing on your own.
