About this Event
In this drop-in workshop at Senate House Library, learn how to set a line of type on a table top printing press and collaborate in a one-off contemporary printed translation of Chaucer’s The Canterbury Tales. You can translate the medieval poem however you choose. The only restriction is how many words or letters you can fit in a single printed line.
Whatever you print in the workshop will complete a specially commissioned print by Becca Drake, Senate House Printer in Residence, in response to the Caxton and Beyond exhibition. This will be yours to take home!
This is a drop in session, please book to join in the first or second hour.
