About this Event

Event Description:

Let's Walk - Canary Wharf to Mile End Canal Walk
2.30pm Thursday 21st May 2026 Duration: 2.5 hours

Start point: Canary Wharf Jubilee Line Station, 3 Heron Quays Rd, London E14 4HJ, (What3Words: ///outer.dust.stacks). The meeting point is the steps opposite the west exit in Jubilee Plaza.

End point: Mile End Station, London Underground Ltd., Mile End Rd, London, E3 4DH (What3Words:///full.flame.safety)

The walk, run by Canal & River Trust, will be led by volunteer walk leaders who are full of interesting information about the local area.

Please join us for a fun leisurely walk along the canal. You'll learn a lot and meet new people!

The meeting point will be the wooden steps opposite entrance to Canary Wharf tube station west exit/Jubilee Plaza.

We will finish close to Mile End tube station. You can use the tube to move on or visit a historic traditional London pub in Mile End park (self-funded).

The walk is accessible. Well behaved dogs on leads are welcome.

The great thing about walking is that you do not need any fancy equipment. Please just wear comfortable shoes and bring a jacket if raining. However with all the fallen leaves the tow path (even if it is not raining) it can be muddy/slippy so stout shoes are really required (stronger than recommended).

Book now

Please book one time slot per person. Please arrive no more than 15 minutes before your booked slot. These sessions are designed for adults and for children from seven years old upwards as an introduction to walking and are easy grade along our amazing towpaths. Learn a bit of history or see some awesome wildlife which is around every turn on our waterways .

Parents and Guardians are required to accompany their children on this walk.

If you can no longer attend, please cancel your ticket via Eventbrite or please get in touch with us to allow another person(s) a chance to take part.
