About this Event

After a short introduction to the history of natural dyes and learning how they are used and prepared, you’ll be creating a fabulous set of cotton fabric samples, using a range of exciting techniques including tie dye, print and resist.

You’ll be able to take your fabric samples home to make a small project or stitch your fabrics into a sampler..

After lunch Debbie will be introducing you to more techniques including stitched resist, folding and clamping and you will be able to explore how to combine natural dyes and use over-printing to widen your colour palette and achieve some fabulous results.

You will finish the day creating a beautiful silk scarf to take home, dyed using your choice of techniques and colours.

This workshop is for all abilities.
