Join the Meyer Foundation and Funders for LGBTQ Issues on Thursday, June 18 at Shaw’s Tavern for Pride in the DMV: A Stop on the Funders for LGBTQ Issues National Tour — a joyful evening celebrating the artistry of local LGBTQ+ creatives and building momentum for collective action in support of LGBTQ+ communities. Attendees will experience a showcase of LGBTQ+ artists and performers, hear from a panel of local LGBTQ+ funders about what it truly means to resource queer and trans communities in Greater Washington and beyond, and join in community to support and celebrate organizations rooted in our local LGBTQ+ communities.
The evening will unfold as follows:
3PM-4PM: Gallery walk featuring local LGBTQ+ artists
4PM-5PM: Main program with a panel of LGBTQ+ funders
5PM-6PM: Dinner
6PM-7PM: Drag show & fundraiser spotlighting local LGBTQ+ organizations
7PM-8PM: Mix & mingle

Parking:
While street parking may be available, the area around Shaw’s Tavern tends to be busy at the time of this event and parking may be difficult. We recommend those attending take public transportation (Shaw’s Tavern is located near the Shaw-Howard U metro stop and near several bus stops) or get dropped off.
