About this Event
Join the DowntownDC Business Improvement District (BID) on Thursday, June 18, for the ribbon cutting celebrating the arrival of Beverly Pepper Ten Monumental Sculptures along the New York Avenue NW median between 9th and 13th Streets NW.
Installed in front of the National Museum of Women in the Arts, the exhibition brings ten large-scale sculptures to Downtown DC, highlighting Pepper’s bold use of industrial materials through dynamic curves and forms. Be among the first to explore the installation, snap photos with the striking new public art display, and take in the creative energy along New York Avenue.
Starting at 11:00 a.m., the program will include remarks from city leaders, arts organizations, and project partners, followed by light bites, refreshments, and time to connect with fellow attendees. The Monumental Sculptures will remain on view through June 1, 2027, inviting the public to pause and experience Downtown vibrancy.
