Latin music night is coming! Trabuco Salsa Band is a renowned Chicago-based salsa band known for its authentic Afro-Caribbean rhythms, featuring salsa, mambo, cha-cha, bolero, Latin jazz, and guaguancó, and for its dynamic performances. The powerhouse 10-piece Latin ensemble has backed legendary Latin artists and played stages across the Midwest. Trabuco is traveling to New York in November 2026 to release their new single "Quiero Verte." Led by musical director José E. Reyes Jr., the band integrates years of experience and cultural heritage into every performance. Reyes, who began his music career at age five in Puerto Rico, has performed with internationally recognized artists and toured major venues such as Madison Square Garden. The band touts accomplished musicians whose backgrounds span salsa, Latin jazz, and classical performance, creating a vibrant, authentic sound that brings audiences to their feet.
Opening for Trabuco, Goshen's Los Ortega makes it impossible to be still when this six-piece band is playing get-up-and-dance tunes from Northern Mexico. Truly a family affair, the Ortegas—José, Efrén, Alfonso, and Marbella—now perform with their children, José Jr., Efrén Jr., and Ángel, to create the music they wanted to hear back in the late 1990s. Now a staple at festivals, fairs, and venues from Indiana and Michigan to Nebraska, Los Ortega is feel-good music for the soul.
