Presence and Neutral MaskOne-Day Workshop
December 6
10:00 AM – 5:00 PM
The Practice Room (Toronto)
The November 14 workshop is sold out. A second date has been added.
Neutral Mask is a return to simplicity.
Before character, before psychology, before performance—
there is the body in space, in relation, in presence.
Working from the Lecoq tradition (which informed Gaulier’s training), this workshop focuses on clarity, openness, and the ability to receive and respond without adding.
The mask removes expression from the face, asking the body to speak. We begin to see what is habitual, what is unnecessary, and what remains when those fall away.
This is not about creating something—
but about clearing space so something true can appear.
The work is quiet, precise, and often surprising.
Open to actors, performers, and anyone curious about presence and physical awareness.
All levels welcome.
$150 + HST
$120 + HST for returning students
