About this Event
Significant changes to employment law are expected in 2027, including new family-friendly rights, leave entitlements and changes to flexible working rights. For employers, now is the time to understand what’s changing and start preparing for what it will mean in practice.
Shoosmiths Legal Director Jennifer Wright will explain the key changes and what employers need to be thinking about now. Flexibility Works Co-Founders Nikki Slowey and Lisa Gallagher will look beyond legal compliance to explore how organisations can prepare, develop good practice and make flexible working work for both people and the business. You’ll also hear practical examples from an employer already putting these approaches into practice.
We will also be joined by Heather Taylor, Policy Advisor at Acas. Heather has played a key role in Acas’ work on flexible working, including supporting the development of the Code of Practice on requests for flexible working. She has also contributed to wider employment reforms relating to zero-hours contracts and atypical work.
A panel discussion and audience Q&A will give you the chance to hear what works, explore common challenges and ask your own questions.
You’ll leave with:
- a clear understanding of what’s changing in 2027 in relation to family-friendly and flexible working rights
- practical ideas for getting your organisation ready
- insight from employers putting good practice into action
- clear actions you can take now
Whether you’re in HR, leadership or responsible for people management, this session will help you move beyond simply understanding the changes and start preparing for them.
Spaces are limited please book now.
