FOOLS GOLD FILM SYNOPSIS
Fools gold, a dark comedy about the story of Harry Woods,
an expat child star coming to terms with adulthood in the
entertainment industry.
With his role model of a father now passed he is left with only his
manipulative, money hungry mother, who’s claws are tightening.
In an attempt to seperate himself from the commercial side of
showbusiness Harry slips violently into coping mechanisms of
overindulgence.
His agent Jim The Brick, a no nonsense east end Londoner
attempts to correct his path and guide him to his desired future.
After an incident on live television for a children’s program Jim
banishes Harry to a small town in The Netherlands in the hope
that the isolation will force Harry to finish his manuscript and
sober up to his reality.
Harry is left with nothing but a type writer and village full of
people who don’t speak his language.
This is a story of Harry’s interactions in stranger tides.
Will he overcome his demons?
