About this Event
Many families have been forever impacted by the loss of a child, often during pregnancy or through the death of an infant. This may be due to miscarriages, birth defects, SIDS, or many other causes. In fact, statistics show that each year over 25% of families will suffer one of these tragic life-altering events. We recognize that the emotional impact of this profound loss is rarely discussed openly. This can often leave couples, siblings, and other family members feeling isolated and sometimes stigmatized.
Given our pro-life values and commitment to the well-being of all ND families, NDFA will be hosting a Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Event on Wednesday, October 14 (the day before Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day). Our prayer is that this event will be an opportunity for those affected by this pain to share their stories, compassion, support, healing, and hope with one another.
We’ll hear from speakers who have personally navigated these difficult times, as well as a panel of friends who will answer your questions and offer guidance and ideas to help cope and heal. We will also provide a chance for attendees to share personal stories in smaller groups, for those who feel comfortable doing this.
Our desire at NDFA is to recognize this grief and to embrace healing for affected ND families. The event is currently planned to be held on the morning of October 14, from 9:00 a.m. to noon at GracePoint Church in Bismarck. There is no cost to attend, but please register so we are able to get a headcount.
