Join the Platte Institute for a pre-session regulatory policy workshop designed to help Nebraska policymakers prepare for regulatory modernization efforts expected to be part of the conversation during the 2027 legislative session.
This workshop will bring together Nebraska policymakers and national policy experts for an in-depth discussion of regulatory reform, the tools available to modernize Nebraska’s regulatory environment, and emerging policy areas where regulatory barriers can have a significant impact.
Topics will include broader regulatory modernization efforts as well as specific policy areas expected to receive attention during the upcoming legislative session, including housing and childcare.
We also expect to be joined by national experts from organizations including the Pacific Legal Foundation, Goldwater Institute, Center for Practical Federalism, and Fulcrum Foundation. Participants will have an opportunity to hear what other states are doing, explore potential approaches for Nebraska, and ask questions ahead of the 2027 legislative session.
This workshop is for Nebraska state senators and legislative staff.
A continental breakfast will be available beginning at 8:30 a.m., and lunch will be provided during a working lunch as part of the workshop.
