🌍 Interested in intercultural exchange, volunteering and reflecting on your own perspectives? This seminar is for international volunteers and anyone interested – whether you are preparing for a project abroad or simply want to learn, reflect and exchange with others.
ABOUT THE TRAINING
Our Pre-Departure Training is about much more than preparing for a volunteer project. It is a space to explore intercultural experiences, question our own assumptions and stereotypes, reflect on power dynamics and privileges, and learn from different perspectives.
Through interactive workshops, discussions and energizers, we will explore topics such as interculturality, stereotypes and prejudices, peacebuilding, conflict resolution, power dynamics, gender roles and microaggressions. You will also get to know more about SCI, its history and its approach to volunteering and peace.
Whether you are joining a volunteercamp in Switzerland or abroad, preparing for a long-term volunteering project, or are simply curious about these topics, you are very welcome to join.
Come with curiosity – and leave with new perspectives, questions and insights that can be valuable far beyond volunteering. 🌱
🗣️ Language: The seminar will be conducted in English.
This training is only for people living in Switzerland! Participation costs are CHF 100 (including meals).
