What To Expect
This teaching session by Code Blue OSCE Crew, offers an hands on experience for medical students and professionals to enhance their clinical OSCE skills, with a specialised focus on cranial nerve examinations. Running every other week, each session includes 45 minutes of student-led (doctor backed) teaching alongside 45 minutes of practice in breakout groups. Endorsed by Geeky Medics, this peer-led initiative encourages all students in their clinical years to join in and gain valuable hands-on experience.
Intended Learning Outcomes
- Identify the functional components (sensory, motor, and autonomic) of each of the twelve cranial nerves.
- Perform a systematic physical examination to assess the integrity of all twelve cranial nerves individually.
- Recognise the expected normal findings for each cranial nerve test.
- Answer questions related to a Cranial Nerve Examination.
