Join us for a delicious breakfast and an introduction to Praying in Color. No artistic ability needed.
Prayer is supposed to be simple, right? “Just have a conversation, a little chat with God. Tell Jesus what’s on your heart and your mind.” Those words are welcome to some of us and terrifying to others. What if I don’t know what to say or can’t sit still or get distracted? What if I’m not even sure God is listening or cares? How do you pray when words become a barrier rather than a pathway to God? When author Sybil MacBeth faced these prayer dilemmas, she picked up paper, a pen, and some colored markers and created an active, visual, and playful way to enter into prayer. Join her for an introduction to this meditative faith practice called Praying in Color. We will learn praying in color as an intercessory prayer practice for both adults and children. No artistic skill necessary!
