World Migratory Bird Day Prayer Walk 🕊️🌎Every Bird Counts – Your Observations Matter
Join us as we celebrate the wonder of migratory birds and explore how each of us can help understand and protect them!
The 2026 theme for World Migratory Bird Day, “Every Bird Counts – Your Observations Matter,” highlights the important role that ordinary people can play in bird conservation. From noticing the birds in our own backyards to participating in community science projects and bird counts, our observations can help scientists better understand bird populations, migration patterns, habitats, and the challenges birds face.
During this organized Prayer Walk, we will take time to slow down, observe, learn, and appreciate the remarkable birds that share our world. Along the way, we will learn about bird migration, discover ways we can support bird conservation, and reflect on our responsibility to care for God's creation.
We will also pause for moments of prayer and reflection, giving thanks for the beauty and diversity of creation and praying for the protection of birds, their habitats, and the many creatures we share this planet with.
There will also be a bird-themed art activity for participants to create and take home!
Whether you are an experienced birdwatcher, a nature enthusiast, or simply someone who enjoys spending time outdoors, you are welcome to join us. No birding experience is necessary—just bring your curiosity and a willingness to look up, listen, and wonder.
