About this Event
Pray As If You See Him is a three-day, full-day in-person practical event for men and women, focused on moving from routine to connection in Salah.
Rediscover the inner reality of Salah
Salah is more than words and movements: it is an opportunity for connection, conversation and presence with Allah ﷻ. Drawing on the teachings of the famous second-century scholar Imam al-Harith al-Muhasibi, this event explores the meanings of prayer, the causes of distraction and practical ways to cultivate presence before Allah.
What we will explore
- What should take place within the heart during Salah.
- How to make recitation, dhikr, du‘a and movement a conscious conversation with Allah.
- Recognising heedlessness and returning the heart to Allah.
- Using reflection and spiritual visualisation inspired by al-Tawahhum and the Sahabah to deepen worship.
- Developing presence through every stage of Salah, from takbir to salam.
- Building a practical method to continue this journey after the event.
From knowledge to experience
This is not simply a study of classical texts. Each teaching is supported by practical exercises, guided reflection and methods to apply directly in your own Salah. The aim is to move from knowing about prayer, to understanding and experiencing it, and ultimately to presence with Allah.
By the end, participants will have a deeper understanding of Imam al-Muhasibi’s teachings and a practical framework for making Salah a place of presence, transformation and nearness to Allah ﷻ.
Lunch and refreshments are provided.
