Practical Magic When it comes to practical magic, few things are more important than setting your intentions. Whether you are working toward improving communication in your home or clarity in your workspace, growing whimsy or building structure, staying focused on your intentions is key. Especially in this world of paramount distraction, a little intention goes a long way.
Intention bowls are an active gentle work. They are open and simple on purpose. A comfortable bed of moss to host your intention, clay to capture the focus, and a choice of natural amplifiers. These could be small crystals, flowers, stones, or ornaments- objects that will magnify your intention. Feel free to bring your own (very small) amplifiers if you’re moved to. I’ll have a collection to choose from as well.
We will spend most of the class with the little clay cookie. You can press, carve, stamp, or write your intention into the clay. It could be a single word or a symbol. Something you , or a friend designs, or from a book or film- so long as it carries a strong connection with your intention. You’ll be focusing on that while you put your mark on the clay.
Once completed, your bowl will need a home where you will See it. Think of it as an instrument you’ll be practicing with. Give it a place where light will touch it, a place you will pause and recenter yourself with your intentions.
Let’s do a little magic!
