This workshop is for parents/caregivers who have an adult loved one with a mental health condition. The skills we'll discuss and practice will help us improve the relationship and encourage recovery oriented action.
We'll learn and practice
- how to listen and respond
- how to validate what your loved one is feeling, saying or doing
- how to create and collaborate toward shared goals
- how to use boundaries
- how to manage our emotions
- how to navigate treatment and recovery
We'll have time for practicing the skills we are learning. And you'll be able to begin using these skills right away.
