Come experience Pujo the Prabashi way — continuing our legacy of bringing the PDX Bengali community together.This year, we’re bringing a fresh Pujo experience to Portland at our grand new venue, the World Forestry Center. Surrounded by the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest, this beautiful space gives us the opportunity to recreate so much of the Pujo experience many of us grew up with back home — a celebration built around adda, gaan, good food, rituals, and community.
Spend the day catching up over Pujor adda, enjoy Pujor gaan and music with friends, explore food stalls filled with familiar Pujo favorites, join the energy of Dhunuchi Nach, and come together for Ashtami-r bhog.
Adding to that experience, our decoration team is taking inspiration from the serene surroundings of the World Forestry Center with this year’s theme, Aranya Shakti. The forest-inspired décor will feature creative artwork made from recycled plastic and glass, bringing together nature, sustainability, and the festive spirit of Durga Puja.
