Are you interested in helping PPC maintain and grow? Consider coming to learn more about joining the PPC board!Board members and volunteers should be willing/able to:
promote and represent with integrity the PPC and Steel City Slam at events throughout the Pittsburgh
arts landscape
Cultivate a respectful and appropriate demeanor reflecting the best of the PPC
be approachable to poets and audience members regardless of the event or your role in it
Be well-versed and familiar with PPC/SCS history, rules, etc
Volunteer at show at least monthly door/host/time/score/workshop/setup/teardown/sac/judge
Repost and INVITE people to Facebook events every time
Post events to social websites - we will divide the work between the members
MailChimp; instagram/instaquote; Twitter; Boring Pgh; Eventful; Meetup; NakYouOut; City Paper; Tumblr; Couchsurfing; GPAC; Others?
Follow guidelines and best practices what images to use when, event categories
Fundraising commitment
Manage conflict resolution actions
chair/co-chair one marquee event or PPC subcommittee per year
meet in person 4x/year
court members for a professionalized advisory board: artists, accountants, attorneys, marketing professionals, graphic design, social media
be willing to serve a 2 year term from December 2017-2019,
respond to internal and external communications as assigned/ Be active in the board facebook group/ respond to group emails and texts in a timely fashion/ use dropbox and google drive to share information
This board meeting is open to anyone who would like to attend.
