About this Event

What We’ll Cover
  • Assessing Cognitive & Physical Readiness: How Suppliers Support the Trial How suppliers help structure low-risk driving evaluations. We will look at how collaborative trials complement clinical assessment frameworks (such as the PoMoDATT), enabling therapists to objectively evaluate reaction times, steering coordination, upper-limb fatigue, and spatial awareness using adaptable controller setups.
  • Scooter vs. Lightweight Powerchair: Navigating Clinical & Environmental Trade-Offs Deconstructing the clinical reasoning behind product category selection. We'll compare postural support, transfer biomechanics, turning radii, and wheelbase stability to help you determine when a senior client truly benefits from a mobility scooter versus a folding electric wheelchair.
  • Coffee, Catering & Networking (On Us!) Take a breather! Enjoy complimentary coffee and catering while connecting with fellow allied health clinicians and chatting directly with the LuxeMed team.
  • Troubleshooting User Errors & Post-Delivery Driver Training Moving beyond the initial handover. We’ll demonstrate how suppliers assist therapists with progressive driver training protocols—addressing common issues like throttle over-correction, curb approaches, speed dial control, safe battery charging habits, and route planning for local community terrain.
  • Hands-On Floor Trials: Turning Footprints, Ramps & Confined Spaces Step onto our showroom floor for practical driving trials. Put various models to the test navigating narrow doorways, tight turning circles, threshold ramps, and simulated indoor-outdoor transitions to build first-hand confidence in equipment capabilities.
