Ever wondered how much you can say with just black, white, and gray?I'm teaching Power of Value: Monochromatic Abstraction at Creative Arts Workshop in New Haven, CT on Saturday, November 7 (10am–3:30pm).
We're setting color aside entirely for the day, going deep into value alone to build composition, movement, depth, and mood. It's a great way to sharpen your eye, and everyone leaves with one finished abstract painting.
This is the same foundation I return to in my own studio practice. Before color, before subject, it's always about structure and value first.
