About this Event
Five exceptional Paso Robles wines. Thoughtfully paired bites. One unforgettable afternoon that gives back.
Raise a Glass. Make a Difference.
Great wine. Delicious food. Wonderful people. And an afternoon that can make a real difference.
Join us for the inaugural Einstein Grace Foundation’s Pouring for a Purpose, a special afternoon of wine, food, storytelling and connection — all in support of women, girls and children.
On Saturday, November 21, we’ll gather on the charming outdoor patio at The New Deal in Burbank for a thoughtfully curated experience featuring five wines from Paso Robles’ Alta Colina Vineyard & Winery, bites created especially for the wines by The New Deal, and the stories behind both what’s in your glass and the good your afternoon helps make possible.
This isn’t a drop-in wine tasting. Pouring for a Purpose is an experience we’ll enjoy together, from the first pour to the last.
We’ll begin with sparkling wine, food and time to mingle before Einstein Grace Foundation founders Robert and Elena Einstein share the story behind the Foundation — and how one simple question, “How can I help?” has already led to meaningful change.
Then, we’ll pour. 🍷
Meet Alta Colina
We are thrilled to welcome Alta Colina Vineyard & Winery as the featured winery for our very first Pouring for a Purpose.
Alta Colina is a small, family-owned estate winery in Paso Robles specializing in Rhône wines, and owner Maggie Tillman will join us personally to guide us through five wines while sharing the stories behind the winery, her family and what’s in our glasses.
We’ll taste:
2020 Lynn’s Cuvée Sparkling
2025 Rosé
2024 Alta Blanca — Marsanne/Roussanne
2023 GSM or Sun Worshipper (TBD)
2023 Ann’s Block Petite Sirah
There’s a beautiful connection woven into the wine lineup, too. We’ll begin with Lynn’s Cuvée, named for Maggie’s mother, and finish with Ann’s Block, named for her grandmother — a particularly meaningful bookend for an afternoon dedicated in large part to creating opportunity for women and girls.
If you discover a new favorite along the way, a limited quantity of each featured Alta Colina wine will also be available for purchase.
And, of course, there will be food.
Our wonderful hosts at The New Deal are creating bites specifically to complement the wines we’ll be tasting.
As Maggie takes us through the wines, thoughtfully paired bites will be served along the way — creating an experience that’s elevated and intentional, but still relaxed, social and fun.
Because this is Pouring for a Purpose, not Wine School. :)
The reason we’re pouring.
At the heart of the Einstein Grace Foundation is a remarkably simple question: How can I help?
That question has already turned conversations into action and ideas into tangible opportunities for women, girls and children.
The Einstein Grace Foundation supports the wellbeing of vulnerable women, girls and children by helping address unmet and under-met physical, mental, educational, financial and nutritional needs, both domestically and internationally.
Funds raised help support programs including:
- Vocational training and economic empowerment for women
- Education and scholarships for children and girls
- Small business opportunities through grants that help women build sustainable futures
- Food and essential needs for mothers and children
During the afternoon, Robert and Elena will share more about how the Foundation began, the people whose lives are already being impacted and what asking “How can I help?” can make possible.
Your support helps create opportunity, dignity and hope for women, girls and children.
