Pottery Classes: 8-week workshop: Thursday Early Afternoons (12-3pm)
Join us for an 8-week pottery workshop at Make Nashville's Ceramics Studio! Starting on October 8th running every Thursday for 8 weeks, from 12:00 to 3:00 PM (Central Standard Time).
Important: We will be skipping Thanksgiving Day (11/26) so the 8th class will be held on December 3rd instead.
This workshop series will cover hand building, wheel throwing, trimming, decorating and glazing techniques. Our clay and glazes produce ceramic ware that is food safe as well as microwave, oven and dishwasher safe.
Limited spots are available, so make sure to secure your place early. Whether you are a beginner or have some experinece in ceramics, this workshop offers a fun and relaxed environment and the opportunity to connect with fellow pottery enthusiasts and share ideas.
Supplies
For Non-Members: The cost of your class supplies (including clay, glazes & basic hand tools) has been included in the class fee so you won't need to bring checks, cards or cash to the class - it's all covered. Make Nashville will provide any other materials and equipment needed.
Makerspace Members: Due to the heavily discounted ticket price for makerspace members, they will be expected to supply/purchase their own clay at class time.
Apparel
Come ready to get dirty -- Wear comfortable, washable clothes and bring an old towel!
We recommend removing rings , wrist watches and long necklaces or eyeglass chains before the classes to avoid loss or tangles. It's also helpful to tie back long hair and trim long nails before working on the pottery wheel.
