About this Event
Spend a Sunday afternoon among the plants at Graye’s Greenhouse, making and decorating your own clay planter. Learn sgraffito, a simple carving technique that reveals patterns beneath layers of color. With guidance from ceramic artist and teacher Tempest NeuCollins, experiment with patterns and designs to make something uniquely your own.
Sunday, November 8, 2026, 1–3 pm
Graye’s Greenhouse, 8820 N Lilley Rd, Plymouth, MI
$50 per person or two for $90 (select 2 tickets for the two-person offer).
No clay experience needed. All materials included. You’ll take your decorative air-dry clay planter home that afternoon to finish drying. Air-dry clay isn’t waterproof, so use a nursery pot insert for your plant. Remove the nursery pot for watering, let it drain, then put it back. Plants are sold separately, and you can shop for one at Graye’s.
This workshop is part of Pottery at Graye’s, our monthly series exploring different ways to make and decorate pots.
