HAPPY PRIDE, Desert Roadrunners!! This year the Positive Pedalers are amping up our annual PRIDE RIDE & formally kicking off our desert training season with the Edna Flores Half Century (or less, if you like).
50 miles, 1200' of climbing. We'll meet at Trek around 7:30 am PT. After registration, safety & announcements, we'll hit the road around 8:15 am.
The route takes us to the south end of town to climb Bogert, then to the north end to the CVLink, then down to Cat City & out Gerald Ford to Technology Dr Starbucks for our pit. We'll then pop up Cook to Country Club back west to the CVLink & take the south town CVLink connector through Demuth Park and back to the start at Trek.
We know that Pride Weekend comes with LOTS of friends & commitments, so even if you're not ready for 50 miles, the route is basically 3 combined loops so please join us for 1 or 2. There are many ways to make this route shorter, so please WEAR SOMETHING COLORFUL (for Pride's sake) and join us for a fun season kickoff.
As always, the route is available on Strava, our team app for all routes and electronic routing/files.
While all Desert Roadrunners, ALC Community, Pos Peds, the local cycling community, and especially all our new team members are all welcome to join, it would help the Positive Pedalers if you register so they know how many to expect:
