Portland River Loop – Waterfront Roll Monday, 12 to 3pm (3135 s Moody Ave, Portland OR)Join Oregon Wheelchair Hiking for a fun, flat, and fully paved waterfront roll along the Willamette River in Portland!
We’ll kick things off with lunchtime tacos and chips at Cha Cha Cha Taqueria – South Waterfront Address: 3135 S Moody Ave, Portland, OR 97239 (Super close to OHSU – perfect starting spot!)
Parking Options:
* Paid parking at OHSU (easy access)
* Free street parking with your wheelchair disabled placard
* Extra parking time allowed if you have the dark blue disabled placard
From there we’ll head north along the scenic Willamette River waterfront, roll across the historic Steel Bridge to the east side, then cruise south down the beautiful Eastside Esplanade (smooth, wide paths the whole way). We’ll finish the loop by crossing the Tilikum Crossing (Bridge of the People) and return right back to the OHSU/South Waterfront side.
It’s a gentle, accessible river loop with stunning views of the Portland skyline, bridges, and the Willamette all around you. Perfect for power chairs, manual wheelchairs, and mobility scooters.
