In October 2016, after three years of building, we opened Brightlingsea Academy in Ghana with just 30 children.10 years later, almost 500 children now come to our school, so we thought that was a pretty good reason for a party!
Come and celebrate 10 years of Porridge & Pens with us at St James’ Church in Brightlingsea.
We’ll have live music, an African-inspired buffet, a bar, silent & live auction, raffle and a few other surprise games thrown in during the night.
There’ll be plenty of choice on the buffet, with lots of different options alongside some Ghanaian favourites, including the famous Ghanaian dish, jollof rice!
We’ve also got lots of artwork which will be up for grabs in our silent auction on the night, alongside some other brilliant prizes.

Tickets can be purchased online or from Little Boat Gifts in Brightlingsea for £15 each.
Cash and card will both be accepted on the night.
