We are thrilled to invite you to our Pop-Up Pickleball Open Play: HBCU Edition—a morning curated to celebrate Black joy, community, culture, and the unmatched legacy of Historically Black Colleges & Universities!
Whether you’re an alum, a student, a proud supporter, or just love the culture,REPRESENT! Throw on your favorite HBCU t-shirt, crewneck, hat, or school colors and show out on the courts.
From seasoned tournament players to first-timers just learning what the "kitchen" is, this space is for everyone. Come for the pickleball, rep your school, and stay for the immaculate vybes.

- When: Saturday, October 10, 2026
- Time: 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM CST
- Where: Tennis Complex at Maryland Farms (5101 Maryland Way, Brentwood, TN)
- Cost: 100% Free (Donations accepted, Registration required)
- Capacity: First come, first served rotation (arrive early to lock in your court spot!)
- Theme: Rep Your Favorite HBCU! 🎓✨
What to Expect
- Rep Your HBCU: Pull out your alma mater gear or favorite HBCU apparel. Let’s see which schools bring the most court energy!
- All Skill Levels Welcome: We’re running organized open play rotations. Whether you want high-intensity competitive rallies or a relaxed, zero-judgment zone to pick up the basics, we’ve got a court for you. No partner needed—we’ll get you plugged in.
- The Culture & Vibes: Great music, drumline energy, endless laughs, and a welcoming community of Black players connecting and breaking a sweat.
- Community Networking: Link up with fellow Black Paddle Club members, meet local alumni, and find your next go-to doubles partner.
🚨 Essential Reminders
- BYOP (Bring Your Own Paddle): We provide the balls, the music, and the energy—just bring your paddle!
- Footwear/Attire: Please wear court or athletic sneakers & attire
- Stay Hydrated: Bring plenty of water to keep moving in the rotation.
