Celebrate art and community on October 22 with a conversation between Jackman Goldwasser resident Pooja Pittie and artist Soumya Netrabile surrounding materiality, worldbuilding and the unconscious. Come experience the secret garden of work that isn't always visible, followed by a community dinner, free and open to all.
Pittie is the inaugural resident of the Beyond Bodies of Work: A 3Arts + Hyde Park Art Center Residency. A new initiative developed in partnership with 3Arts, Beyond Bodies of Work, offers six-month studio residencies at Hyde Park Art Center for Deaf and disabled artists who are alumni of the Bodies of Work residency program.
Beyond Bodies of Work builds on the existing 3Arts/Bodies of Work Residency, which provides in-town residencies and monthly stipends tailored to Deaf and disabled artists. Beyond Bodies of Work is centered on the continuation of professional development, creation of new work, and advocacy for Disability Arts & Culture.
