Welcome to Pomsky Puppy Yoga by Yoga Kawa in Markham, where the poses are gentle, the puppies are ridiculous amounts of fluffy, and the hour goes by faster than you'd like.
Pomskies are the result of crossing a Pomeranian with a Husky, and somehow they ended up with the best traits of both: plush double coats, bright eyes, and a personality that swings between "I am a majestic wolf" and "please hold me forever." On a yoga mat, they are absolutely unhinged in the best way.
Here's how the hour breaks down:
- 35 minutes of easy, beginner-friendly yoga
- 20 minutes of connection and cuddle time
- 5 minutes of sharing circle
Why people keep coming back
Puppy yoga in Markham does something a regular yoga class cannot. A Pomsky wanders over, parks itself on your mat like it owns the place, and your nervous system just... exhales. People show up thinking it's a novelty and leave realizing they actually needed it.
A note on Pomsky puppies
Pomskies are curious, social, and surprisingly bold for their size. They tend to explore every corner of the room, investigate every person, and occasionally decide your shoulder is an excellent vantage point. They're affectionate without being overwhelming, and they warm up to new people fast. Expect a lot of soft fur, a lot of eye contact, and at least one moment where a puppy just sits and stares at you like you're the most interesting thing it has ever seen.
Families and kids
This class is family friendly. Kids ages 5 and up are welcome. Anyone under 18 must attend with a parent or guardian who also participates and helps the child move gently and handle the puppies with care.
Mats provided. No experience needed. Whether you last did yoga in 2019 or never, you'll be completely at home here. Come as you are, leave a little lighter.
