🧊🐻❄️ SAVE THE DATE! THE 2027 POLAR PLUNGE IS COMING! 🐻❄️🧊🗓️ SATURDAY, JANUARY 16, 2027
📍 EMERALD ISLE, NC
⏰ CHECK-IN BEGINS AT NOON!
🦑 You've seen what the CARTERET KRAKEN have been up to! We went from 2 sports to 15 in ONE YEAR! More sports. More opportunities. More athletes getting out there, pushing limits, crushing goals, and doing AMAZING things!
But here's the big question... HOW DO WE PAY FOR ALL OF IT?! 💰
One of the core values of Special Olympics is that athletes and their families are NEVER charged a dime to participate. Not for practices. Not for competitions. Not for the opportunities that help them grow, compete, and thrive.
But equipment, facilities, uniforms, transportation, and competitions all cost money. We rely on COMMUNITY SUPPORT to make these opportunities possible.
💥 NOW IT'S YOUR TURN TO BACK THE KRAKEN! 💥
Here's how YOU can help make the 2027 Polar Plunge a success:
🥶 START A PLUNGE TEAM! Get your family, friends, coworkers, or organization together and take the plunge for our athletes.
💰 RAISE MONEY! Challenge your team to collect donations and help fund the sports and opportunities our athletes deserve.
🏢 BRING IN A BUSINESS SPONSOR! Know a local business that wants to make a difference right here in Carteret County? Help us connect with them!
📣 NOT A FAN OF FREEZING COLD WATER? NO PROBLEM! You DON'T have to jump in to be part of the fun! Form a fundraising team, raise money for our athletes, come out to enjoy the day, and CHEER YOUR HEART OUT for everyone brave enough to take the plunge! We need supporters on dry land, too! 🙌
Every dollar raised helps us keep growing this program and ensures that the cost of participation never falls on our athletes or their families.
We're building something BIG here in Carteret County. Help us keep it going!
📣 REGISTRATION FORM AND DETAILS COMING SOON! Keep your eyes peeled!
15 SPORTS. ONE KRAKEN. STRONGER TOGETHER. FIERCER THAN EVER.
