𝗙𝗲𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗣𝗼𝗲𝘁'𝘀 𝗯𝗶𝗼:
Abby E. Murray (they/them) is the editor of 𝘊𝘰𝘭𝘭𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘢𝘭, a literary journal concerned with the impact of violent conflict and military service beyond the combat zone. Both of their full-length poetry books, 𝘏𝘢𝘪𝘭 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘍𝘢𝘳𝘦𝘸𝘦𝘭𝘭 (Perugia Press Poetry Prize Winner, 2019) and 𝘙𝘦𝘤𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘳 𝘊𝘰𝘮𝘮𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘴 (Ex Ophidia Press, Richard Gabriel Rummonds Prize Winner, 2025) were finalists for the Washington State Book Award. Abby served as the poet laureate for the city of Tacoma from 2019-2021, and for the past eleven years, they have taught writing to Army War College fellows studying at the University of Washington in Seattle. They write poems because it feels good.
