Tuesday, November 10, 2026 · North Idaho College Writing Center · Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. Join poet Mischa Willett for a reading from his new collection, This Gift Card Has Already Been Redeemed, published by Paraclete Press.
Witty, restless, and attentive to the oddities of ordinary life, Willett writes in conversation with poets ranging from Robert Frost and Pablo Neruda to Denise Levertov, moving between formal intensity and a loose, conversational voice.
Scott Cairns praises Willett’s “wit, wordplay, and wisdom,” writing that through the book’s heartbreak, elation, disappointment, and consolation, “one hears the deep and grounding ison note of joy.”
