Step into the heart of Cornwall’s mining heritage for a special one hour poetry performance by Cornish Poet Clive Blake, set within the atmospheric surroundings of Geevor Tin Mine.Clive brings a lifetime of experience to the stage — a poet who didn’t begin writing until his forties, whose work is shaped by deep Cornish roots, a strong regional voice, and a determination to perform despite being Severely Sight Impaired / registered blind. His poetry has travelled far beyond Cornwall, appearing in multimedia formats including film, music collaborations, illustrated works, and his unique fusion of poetry and photography known as Phoetry.
This live performance blends humour, heart, and hard won life experience, delivered with Clive’s trademark warmth and authenticity. Expect poems that celebrate Cornwall, explore the everyday and the extraordinary, and shine a light on the resilience of the human spirit.
The performance lasts approximately one hour, followed by a short Q&A for anyone who’d like to ask questions or chat about the work.
