Join poet and educator Sukina Noor for a reflective workshop exploring Al-Qasida, the classical Arabic poetic form, as a pathway to creativity, reflection and wellbeing. Through guided writing and contemplation, participants will explore how poetry can give voice to the inner self, creating space for expression, connection and the voice of the heart.

About Sukina Noor
Sukina Noor is a poet, spoken-word artist, playwright, educator and workshop facilitator, and the current Bristol City Poet (2024–2026). She has performed and facilitated workshops across the UK and internationally, with a particular focus on the intersections of creativity, spirituality and healing.
A longstanding voice within British Muslim creative communities, Sukina uses poetry as a tool for dialogue, connection and accessing the authentic voice. She holds a BA (Hons) Degree in English Literature and Caribbean Studies and has an MSc in Creative Writing for Therapeutic Purposes, her research explored the therapeutic potential in the poetry of the Sufi tradition.
Her debut poetry collection, Love and Longing: Yearning for the Face of God, was published in 2023, followed by her spoken-word album Tribe of in 2025.
