About this Event
Poems Not Bombs poetry open mic UPSTAIRS at the fantastic Trades Hall, Walthamstow is a FREE, MONTHLY EVENT - taking place on the last Thursday of every month 7pm (though we take December off). For people of all experiences and levels to come and share their poems, or come along even if you don't wish to read - the more the merrier!
Sign up on the night between 6.30pm and 7pm if you would like to read. Time permitting, everyone gets five minutes. Despite the event's title, you can read any poems on any theme you like. Hosted by Paul McGrane from local poetry collective Forest Poets.
As our 29 October 2026 session is close to HALLOWEEN - bring scary poems, either your own or by someone else. Not all of your poems have to be on the theme and don't worry if you don't have any themed poems at all - all poems are equal and very welcome. Come and read them anyway.
Access is by stairs only, no lift. NO NEED TO BRING YOUR EVENTBRITE TICKETS.
They've got air conditioning!
