About this Event
Poetry open mic DOWNSTAIRS at the Spice of Life - third Thursday of every month (though we take December off and October's event will be WEDNESDAY 21 OCTOBER). Starts 1.30pm. For people of all experiences and levels to come and share their lovely poems. Sign up on the day between 1pm and 1.30pm if you'd like to read - or come along and be part of the lovely audience. Time willing, everyone will get 5 minutes (plan for 3 mins just in case!). We have a theme each month, e.g. in October 2026 the theme will be 'HALLOWEEN (e.g. scary poems, poems about ghosts and ghouls, etc) and in November 2026 the theme will be 'WHEN I WAS YOUNGER' . However, not all of your poems have to be on the theme and don't worry if you don't have any themed poems at all - all poems are equal and very welcome. Come and read them anyway.
