🍂 Pocahontas State Park Fall Adventure (5–7 Miles) 🍂Join East Coast Hikers for a scenic fall hike through Pocahontas State Park! We’ll explore beautiful forest trails, enjoy cooler autumn temperatures, and take in the early fall colors. This is a moderate-paced group hike designed for all experience levels.

📍 Pocahontas State Park

📍 Meet at the Visitor Center parking lot. Look for the East Coast Hikers group.
🚗 Approximately 1.5–2 hours from Virginia Beach.
🥾 Distance: 5–7 miles
🌲 Route: Beaver Lake Trail and surrounding forest trails
🌲 Terrain: Mostly natural dirt trails with some roots and uneven ground
🚻 Restrooms available
💧 Bring water, snacks, and appropriate footwear
💲 Virginia State Park parking fee: $10 per vehicle. Carpooling is encouraged. 🚗
🐕 Leashed dogs are welcome. Please ensure your dog can comfortably keep pace with the group and is comfortable around other people and dogs.

🍽️ Optional Lunch After the Hike
After the hike, we’ll head over to The Reserve Restaurant & Bar at The Highlands for lunch and socializing. The restaurant overlooks the golf course and is just a short drive from the park. Hiking clothes are welcome.
