Colonial courthouses were as much the site of the Revolution as taverns, town greens, and battlegrounds. The symbolic architecture of Plymouth's 1749 Courthouse provided the dramatic setting for the changes the people of Plymouth went through, from colonial subjects who protested and struggled through eight long years of revolution to become citizens of a new republic, with all its faults and its promises for the future.
Speaker Bio:
Stephen O'Neill is a public historian, educator, and author with more than thirty years experience. He is the Director of the Hanover Historical Society and the Dyer Memorial Library in Abington. He's a graduate of Boston College and Boston University, former Associate Director & Curator at Pilgrim Hall Museum, a consultant for the Alden House Historic Site, a Proprietor of the Boston Athenaeum, and a trustee for the Norwell Historical Society and Norwell's First Parish Cemetery Association.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
You do not have to bring your printed ticket to the event. You may give your name to the Event Facilitator at check-in.
What's the cancellation/refund policy?
If you need to cancel or reschedule your event program, please contact Christina Basler, Director of Guest Services and Group Programs, at 508-746-1622, ext. 8107 or via email, [email protected], as soon as possible, within the following time frames:
At least two weeks withdrawal notice is required for a full refund.
No refund or credit will be received, when given less than 7 days notice, for cancellation or reschedule; all sales are final.
We reserve the right to cancel an event (low enrollment, inclement weather, etc.) with at least 48-hour advance notification and you will receive a refund for your ticket price.
