Plot Twis’t: Adult Book Fair

Remember the magic of the Scholastic Book Fair? We grew up. So did the book fair.

Welcome to The Plot Twis’t, an immersive adult book fair where nostalgia meets culture, community, wellness, and a little grown-folks fun.

Hosted by The Lit Twis’t, this isn’t your childhood book fair recreated. It’s what the book fair grew into.

Think discovering a book you didn’t know you needed. Meeting your next book club bestie. Shopping from bookstores and local vendors. Moving your body with Pilates. Slowing down with sound healing. Creating something cute. Taking a million pictures. And leaving with entirely too many books.

Basically, your inner book-fair kid just got a grown-up budget. Dangerous. 😂

Come prepared to browse.

Explore a curated mix of books across romance, Black literature, fantasy, self-growth, contemporary fiction, and more while discovering local bookstores, authors, and literary businesses.

Your TBR will not survive this event. We’re sorry. Kind of.

Looking for your bookish people?

Meet local book clubs through quick, fun introductions and find the community that matches your reading style, personality, and vibe.

No awkward dating profile required.

Because sometimes the best part of loving books is actually getting to sit down and read one.

Step away from the action, get cozy, open a book, and enjoy a slower moment in our reading lounge.

Your childhood craft table got an upgrade.

Create your own bookmarks, customize Kindle cases, and tap into your creative side with bookish DIY moments you can actually take home.

Consider this your excuse to explore.

Complete challenges, visit participating vendors, discover something new, and work your way toward prizes along the way.

Because your TBR isn't the only thing that deserves attention.

Take a break from shopping and hit the mat for a feel-good Pilates session designed to get you moving, stretching, and resetting before jumping back into the fun.

Bring your mat and come as you are. All levels are welcome.

As the evening settles in, slow things down with an immersive sound healing experience led by Kaila.

Find a comfortable spot, exhale, and give yourself a moment to simply be.

Books for the mind. Movement for the body. A little peace for the soul.

We contain multitudes. 💅🏾

Think grown-up bookstore meets your favorite cozy third space.

R&B and Neo-Soul in the background. Books everywhere. Beautiful spaces to sit, connect, create, and capture content. People who actually understand why you need another book even though you have twelve unread ones at home.

Come alone. Bring your book bestie. Bring the whole book club.

Just come ready to experience books differently.

Come for the books. Stay because somehow you've made three new friends and joined another book club. 👀

General Admission gives you access to The Plot Twis’t Adult Book Fair experience, including the book marketplace, participating vendors, Speed Book Club Dating, Reading Lounge, crafts and customization, Book Bingo, Mat Pilates, Sound Healing, music, and more.

Come ready to browse, connect, create, move, unwind, and have a GOOD time.

And yes, you will probably leave with a book you had absolutely no intention of buying.

We support your decisions.

Oh, you want the extra chapter?

Say less. 💅🏾📚

VIP includes everything in General Admission, plus a little main-character treatment.

VIP guests receive exclusive perks, special surprises, and a curated VIP gift bag with bookish goodies and treats from our partners.

Because sometimes you don't just attend the function.

You upgrade the plot.

The lifelong readers.
The people trying to fall in love with reading again.
The book club girls.
The romance readers.
The fantasy lovers.
The Kindle collectors.
The paperback loyalists.
The “I only came for one book” .

And anyone who remembers how exciting it felt to walk into a book fair as a kid.

We created The Plot Twis’t so you could feel a little bit of that magic again.

Only this time?

We’re grown. We have our own money. And nobody can tell us we can't get the book. 📚💕

Info: Bring a yoga mat with you. Only 50 attendees will be able to participate: Come EARLY to get some pilates in before a Bookish Night!
