Whether you're a passionate reader, a curious cook, or both, this immersive evening promises inspiration, creativity, and connection in every chapter—and every bite.
At The Kitchen House, we build community around sustainable, whole foods by enjoying a communal meal we all cooked together.
Step into Chef Lillian's candlelit kitchen in this month's book-and-cook club, featuring The School of Essential Ingredients by Erica Bauermeister. Inspired by the novel's themes of healing, connection, and the quiet magic of cooking by instinct rather than recipe, this class invites participants to discuss the book while preparing dishes that bring its eight students—and their very different hungers—to life. Together, we'll cook, taste, and talk about how a shared meal can mend what words alone cannot. Please be sure to read the novel before coming to class to fully savor the story.
