🌿 Let’s give back to our local community!
When we first announced our plans for the warmer months, we mentioned that we’d be moving our cleanups to the Georges River area, as our usual beach location can get quite hot during summer.
However, after inspecting several local areas over the past few days, we’re happy to report that our neighbourhood is looking relatively clean! It seems that some recent council cleanups have already made a positive difference. ❤️
So, we’ve decided to head back towards the beach after all, but this time with a slightly different focus!
🗑️ What will we be cleaning?
We’ll be focusing on the parkland along the coastline, particularly the picnic and BBQ areas at Cook Park.
Unfortunately, we’ve noticed that these areas can accumulate quite a lot of rubbish, especially in the late afternoon, after families and groups have spent the day enjoying picnics and barbecues.
With the warmer weather bringing more people outdoors, we’d love to help keep these beautiful shared spaces clean, safe and enjoyable for everyone. 🌏💚
We’ll spend a couple of hours collecting litter and giving the area some much-needed attention.
🧺 And afterwards… Sunset Aperitivo!
Once our cleanup is finished, we’ll enjoy a little Sunset Aperitivo, with refreshments provided by us, before the sun goes down.
🐝 It’s a lovely opportunity to relax, have a chat, meet other like-minded people and celebrate the difference we’ve made together.
🧤 We’ll provide:
✔️ Gloves
✔️ Rubbish bags
✔️ Litter pickers
All you need to bring is:
💧 A water bottle
🧢 A hat and sun protection
👟 Comfortable, closed-toe shoes
