About this Event
Life-drawing is a well-known space to practice drawing anatomy and honing observation skills. This class is a playground - a place to experiment and take inspiration from the human form in new directions.
Open to beginners and long-time drawers, Sasha will offer technique tips and creative prompts. You are welcome to take the suggestions or stay in a personal flow. Hopefully, you will be able to let loose, follow an unexpected path, and maybe even get a little silly with it.
This session, there will be optional prompts to experiment with the the size and scale of your drawings, and explore how it affects the experience of drawing and the outcomes.
Some charcoal, pastels, and markers will be provided, along with newsprint paper. If you would like to use heavier paper, please bring.
We are hosted in a beautiful member's club - take a look here. No need to be a member to book.
Led by Sasha Yonna (@sasha.yonna.illustration on Instagram - where there is a little more information about the session, and you can DM any questions).
Sasha is an artist and illustrator, who draws inspiration from dance, fashion, and performance. She uses life-drawing and dance as a jumping-off point for experimentation in printmaking and digital art, with the aim of portraying movement, self-expression, and queer joy. She is playful and open-minded, letting the materials guide her, and always trying to care less about perfection.
