About this Event
Join us for our monthly Play-doh party, where we invite you to momentarily cast aside your responsibilities and instead focus on the really important stuff - playing!
This session we will each be invited to an Alien’s Tea-Party! Participants will work together to imagine a joyful scene, where colourful two-headed guests will join tentacles around the dinner-table, feasting upon a dazzling array of sweets and treats, all by the light of the stars! Let’s help one another to construct this scene of wonders, with the ideas and the playfulness evolving as we go. Sculpting tools, building materials and hand sanitizer will be provided. No artistic skill required. You bring the imagination!
Yes, we are literally going to ‘play’ together. Yes, you are going to love it! And yes, Play-doh still smells as good as you remember.
*In case you can't afford a regular ticket but would love to attend anyway, please send us a message ([email protected]) and we'll find a solution.
About the facilitator
Jessica Voke (she/her) is an interdisciplinary artist, which is a fancy way of saying that she works with a plethora of materials in order to explore such subjects as life, death, and everything in between. She also works with community groups, empowering people to embrace creative practices as a part of daily life. Art-making can provide us with a voice and a way of making sense of things. It can also be fun, therapeutic, and grounding. So come on, let’s get started! :)
