【Workshop Schedule】
�15:00-15:30 - Japanese Tea Experience with Yumi Tanabe
Start the session with a tasting of Shincha, the first tea of the season, known for its refreshing aroma and therapeutic properties. The caffeine invigorates the mind while theanine soothes the soul, setting a perfect stage for calligraphy.
�15:30-17:30 - Calligraphy Workshop with Mika Kobayashi
The workshop covers:
-A brief history of Japanese calligraphy
-Introduction to 'dou' traditions in Japanese culture
-A brief meditation session for experiencing 'Mushin' (no-mind)
-Brush exercises to master eight essential strokes
-Hands-on practice writing Kanji
-Finalizing a piece with your name and a traditional stamp
�17:30-18:00 - Tea and Conversations:
Wind down the event with a relaxing conversation over Hojicha and Dorayaki, a beloved Japanese confection.
Note: Supplies will be provided, so all you have to do is bring your enthusiasm and creativity. Workshop will be conducted in English with some Japanese word facts ;)

【 Profiles】
�Yumi Tanabe is a distinguished Japanese tea specialist and a certified tea instructor, recognized for her deep understanding and passion for Japanese tea traditions. As a goodwill ambassador for Japanese tea, Yumi has traveled extensively, bringing the rich heritage of Japanese tea culture to a global audience. Her expertise not only covers the broad spectrum of tea varieties but also the healing aspects of tea culture.

�Mika Kobayashi is a trained Japanese calligrapher from Tokyo, Japan, who has been practicing this art form since the age of 6. Her work has been exhibited in various venues, including the National Art Center in Tokyo. After moving to Berlin, Mika was struck by the uniqueness of Japanese culture and noticed a great curiosity in the west to learn more about it. She decided to share her passion for Japanese culture with a diverse international community and explore it together.
