About this Event
What if networking started with doing something together?
Most networking events begin by putting strangers into a room and expecting them to start conversations.
We're testing another approach.
Play & Connect is a sports-powered professional networking experience by LyfeGo.
You'll meet other professionals through an accessible shared activity, purposeful rotations and hosted conversation breaks designed to make approaching someone new easier.
The aim isn't to collect as many contacts as possible.
It's to help you meet relevant people, have useful conversations and identify the connections you actually want to continue after the event.
How It Works
1. Tell us what you're looking for
Before the pilot, we'll ask participants about:
- professional interests
- what they hope to get from the event
- who they would find useful to meet
- what they could contribute to other participants
- preferred ways of interacting
We'll use this information to help design the guest experience and introductions.
2. Start with a shared activity
Rather than beginning with job titles and elevator pitches, you'll start by doing something together.
We'll select an accessible sport or adapted activity appropriate for the participant group.
No previous sporting experience is required.
The activity isn't there to determine who's the best athlete.
It's there to give people an easy shared starting point.
3. Meet different people
Participants won't simply arrive with friends and stay in the same group.
We'll use purposeful rotations throughout the experience to create opportunities to interact with different people.
Our hosts can also help make introductions where useful without scripting every conversation.
4. Give conversations room to continue
Networking doesn't work particularly well when every good conversation is interrupted by another activity.
We'll deliberately build breaks into the programme for refreshments, recovery and conversation.
That gives you time to return to someone you've met and go beyond the first introduction.
5. Make follow-up easier
At the end of the experience, we'll provide a permission-based way for participants who want to stay connected to do so.
The aim is simple:
leave knowing who you'd actually like to speak to again.
Who Is This For?
The pilot is designed for working professionals who want to meet people beyond their usual professional circles.
You might be:
- an early-career professional
- manager or team leader
- founder or entrepreneur
- business owner
- commercial professional
- consultant or freelancer
- someone new to Singapore's professional community
- someone looking to meet people outside their usual industry or organisation
You do not need to be sporty.
What Kind Of Networking Is This?
This is designed to sit between an unstructured networking mixer and a heavily scripted business-matching event.
There will be structure.
But we are not going to make you deliver an elevator pitch to every person in the room.
Expect:
accessible activity + intentional introductions + rotations + hosted conversations + time to connect naturally.
Potential Activities
Depending on participant preferences and venue suitability, the pilot could use:
- Pickleball
- Badminton
- Beach Tennis
- Bowling
- Precision or strategy activities
- Adapted team activities
- Multi-sport format
The chosen activity needs to serve the networking experience — not the other way around.
Important: This Is An Expression Of Interest
We are currently gathering interest for a December 2026 pilot in Singapore.
The following have not yet been confirmed:
- final date
- venue
- sport/activity
- capacity
- ticket price
Your registration helps us design the first pilot.
If sufficient interest exists, registered participants will receive the proposed event details and first access to booking.
You can then decide whether you would like to attend.
